<div>Our family recently experienced an unexpected and heartbreaking loss with the passing of my ex-husband, the father of our two children. Although we were no longer married, we remained incredibly close, and his loss has left a hole in all of our lives that words can’t truly describe.

<div>He was someone who impacted so many people throughout his life. The amount of love, messages, calls, and support we’ve received has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way. So many people have reached out asking how they can help or support our family during this time, and after much thought, we decided to create this GoFundMe.

<div>As we navigate this unimaginable grief, we are also facing the financial burden of funeral expenses and a celebration of life so his family, friends, and children can properly honor and remember him.

<div>Most importantly, our two children are now facing life without their father, and I am now carrying the responsibility of raising them on my own while helping them navigate this unimaginable loss emotionally and mentally.

<div>My mom passed away suddenly after a long struggle with mental health issues. Throughout my life, she did her best to care for me and mask her struggles, always putting my needs first. Recently, she experienced a severe mental episode that left her feeling unsafe in her own home. She ended up sleeping outside and in shelters for weeks, which led to her developing pneumonia, the flu, and a blood infection. Despite my efforts to get her help—reaching out to the police and supporting her as she admitted herself to various hospitals—her illness wasn't caught until it was too late.

<div> As her only child, I am now facing the heartbreaking task of arranging her funeral all alone. My mom always tried to plan ahead and had set up a life insurance policy to make sure I wouldn't have to worry, but it unfortunately lapsed during her episode. The funds raised here will go directly toward covering her funeral costs and giving her the peaceful farewell she deserves.
