<div>Pasadena Waldorf School has made significant progress this year in the wake of the Eaton Fire. In the months since the loss of our Mariposa campus, our faculty, staff, and community have worked with exceptional focus to stabilize operations, strengthen programs, and lay the groundwork for a strong future.

<div>We successfully reestablished classrooms and student life at our temporary campuses, and are in the process of remediation and repair at our surviving Mendocino Campus in Altadena, and have cleared and prepared our Mariposa campus for an eventual rebuild, all while continuing to offer the full breadth of a Waldorf education. The PWS Board of Trustees has also advanced a long-term facilities planning process to chart the school’s path forward, including envisioning the rebuild of the Mariposa site. While the year has brought challenge, it has also revealed the resilience, commitment, and generosity that define PWS, allowing us to move ahead with both clarity and optimism.

<div>The costs of temporary relocation, remediation, repair, and eventual rebuild at our Mariposa campus will far exceed insurance and FEMA support, so we are adjusting our Go Fund Me goal as we head into 2026. We are grateful for every donor who has supported PWS this year. If you know others in your networks, please share our story. We are committed to returning to Altadena, and need your support.

<div>Pasadena Waldorf School in Altadena, California, lost its beautiful Paquita Lick Machris Campus in the Eaton Fire on January 7th. The community of PWS teachers, students, families, alumni, and friends are devastated by this loss. <strong>Every building has burned to the ground across what was a beautiful and peaceful 5-acre campus for our Kindergarten through Grade 8 programs.</strong>

<div>We are grateful that so far, our nearby Mendocino St. Campus, where the preschool and high school are still standing, but it is going to take time, love, resources, and money to return to our special Waldorf program at the Mariposa St. Campus.

<div><strong>FINANCIALLY STRUGGLING FATHER of 4 children (ages 13, 10, 5, and 3) and local union laborer-362 at significant loss right now. I had an unexpected severe injury occur, requiring spinal lumbar and spinal fusion surgery due to a herniated disc. I am Battling for workman's comp benefits (weekly), which I have not received since July 19th due to the insurance adjuster's disagreement.</strong>

<div><strong>I owe $1450 in back rent, $460 for the electric bill, $225 for the water bill, $0 for groceries, $162 for the phone bill (disconnected), $653 for the credit card bill, $1092 for the overdraft bank statement, and other bills (WiFi, car notes) (documentation to prove). I truly am in a hardship as of now and also confined to a walker and under doctor's orders! I've tried everything: annuity hardship withdrawal, short-term disability, loans, etc. Until I see an arbitration committee and reach a ruling by a judge, I'm at a tragic and devastating point in my life right now in fear of utilities being shut off and on the verge of being homeless. THIS IS TRULY MY LAST RESORT—anything helps day to day, minute to minute, hour to hour. God bless everyone. I've included legal documents to prove it. I've never imagined this coming, but I'm trying to do with what God himself will bless and provide for me and my family. The Lord has worked in all sorts of ways. I just hope to make it through this with my family, and the support received will truly help and will be appreciated not only by me but by them as well! Once again, I'm sorry to ask or even to be considered for such a blessing, but my 4 children, my fiancée, and myself are on the last limb. God bless.</strong>
