What they care about

I give because helping people makes me feel good and I want to see others happy.

Amber had her PDA surgery yesterday and it was a success! I was able to bring her home this morning and I am so VERY thankful that she is now able to live a normal dog life! I took her to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at the U of I in Urbana Champaign and her total bill came out to $5,521.27. Nothing can make me more happy about that amount, because originally I was told double that at a hospital here in Chicago. Once again I am so thankful for the donations & prayers!
Hi everybody, Disregard my last update. I would like to continue raising funds to get heart surgery for Amber. I have found a hospital that can do the surgery for $4,000-6,000, which is much less than what I was told originally at another hospital. Amber’s appointment at the new doctor is Sept 29th & she will have the surgery the next day on the 30th. I am truly grateful for everyone’s support, donations & even prayers. Thank you!
Amber is my toy poodle, and she truly means the world to me and my family. I fell in love with her the very first time I saw her. I even remember hoping my friend would ask a price I couldn’t afford, because I knew I would be completely attached the moment I met her. Instead, Amber came into my life, and she has been such a blessing ever since. She is smart, loving, and full of personality. She was easy to potty train, she can catch a ball in midair, and when she walks, she trots like a little show dog. She brings so much joy into our home, and we love her deeply. On April 2, 2026, I took Amber in for a regular checkup and was told she had a heart murmur. I was advised to bring her back, and after more vet visits, including a second opinion, I was told she needed to see a cardiologist. On August 21, 2026, the cardiologist diagnosed Amber with PDA, a heart condition, and told me she needs surgery to survive and have the chance at a healthy life. The surgery is expected to cost between $8,000 and $10,000, and I was completely devastated to hear that news. I am asking for any donation, big or small, to help cover Amber’s surgery and give her the chance to live a healthy, happy life with our family. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much to us. Amber is more than a pet to me, she is family, and your kindness and support would make a huge difference in her life.
