Amber is my toy poodle, and she truly means the world to me and my family. I fell in love with her the very first time I saw her. I even remember hoping my friend would ask a price I couldn’t afford, because I knew I would be completely attached the moment I met her. Instead, Amber came into my life, and she has been such a blessing ever since. She is smart, loving, and full of personality. She was easy to potty train, she can catch a ball in midair, and when she walks, she trots like a little show dog. She brings so much joy into our home, and we love her deeply.

On April 2, 2026, I took Amber in for a regular checkup and was told she had a heart murmur. I was advised to bring her back, and after more vet visits, including a second opinion, I was told she needed to see a cardiologist. On August 21, 2026, the cardiologist diagnosed Amber with PDA, a heart condition, and told me she needs surgery to survive and have the chance at a healthy life. The surgery is expected to cost between $8,000 and $10,000, and I was completely devastated to hear that news.
