I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a dear friend of mine, Kamal Khalil Al Shafee, a 47-year-old man from Gaza who I met through Twitter. I’ve been supporting him personally with donations for months, and after hearing more of his story, I felt it was my duty to do something more impactful — to help him reach safety and reunite with his lost son.
