<div>I asked them if they dropped their wallet and immediately they said no and were honest. Even though they didn’t know me, and even though they’re carrying more than most people ever should, they still chose to be honest.

<div>They were so shocked and began to tear up as they shared their story.

<div><strong>Eduardo is a father who already endured the unimaginable—losing his son to cancer. Now, as the sole provider for his family, he’s battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer himself.</strong> His wife is standing by his side through it all. He can’t work, the bills are piling up, and they’re on the verge of being evicted and losing their home. They’re doing everything they can to hold things together, but it’s overwhelming.

<div>The other day I was headed into Walmart when I asked someone to pray for me because I was having a hard day. I met Ronda who was just getting out of her car and she immediately said yes. Ronda took the time to encourage me and pray for me. She also gave me some water since it was so hot out. Afterwards, I asked her how she was doing. She told me she was having a hard time staying afloat and finding stable housing for her four kids and her mom. She was working hard and struggling to make ends meet. I then gave her $500 for her kindness and she was blown away by how much it would help her. I encouraged her that day and she left shocked. I say our community shows how much she is loved by continuing to bless her by taking the pressure off her and helping her find stable housing for her and her family!

Wow! We are getting hit hard all at once! Canelo &amp; Twist need your help! <br /><br />We took in Canelo recently from his owner who couldn't care for him any longer. He has been a sweet boy and his foster family adores him. They got extremely concerned when he started vomiting and couldn't keep anything down. He was rushed to the vet this am and after a lot of tests, it was discovered that he most likely had a foreign body lodged in his small intestine.<br /><br />We are in desperate need to save his life. He is currently headed into surgery and we need help to cover this completely unexpected bill.<br /><br />Twist aka PokyMan came to us as a breeder surrender and we are so thankful that they didn't euthanize him like their original plan. He has multiple congenital deformities and one became quite urgent to correct even though the specialists thought that waiting a few more months was the ideal time. It was a high risk surgery to resect his palate which will help him breathe and hopefully minimize any food regurgitation. He already developed aspiration pneumonia once and he will always be susceptible to that but this surgery may help. His breathing and regurgitation issues became more severe so the surgery had to be moved up.<br /> <br />Please help if you can and share far and wide!

<strong>Operation-Help-A-Friend</strong><br /><br /><strong>Good People Unite</strong><br /><br /> <br /><br />Thank you everybody for taking a moment to read something important for somebody we all know and love. Our friend Lisha Ewing (Hasty to the OG’s) has been getting the same bad news from doctors for years. Time after time she goes in with severe discomfort and pain (this time a hernia) and she is told that she has to lose a lot of weight. She has been down this road, logging every calorie, counting every bite, and cannot get to the place she needs so that safe medical intervention can happen. Her last doctor told her that the weight loss surgery was imperative, if she wanted to live to see her beautiful daughter grow up. <br /><br />In this country healthcare is not a right, and although Lisha is fully and gainfully employed as is her husband, but this surgery is considered an exclusion of coverage. It is very much a life and death surgery needed to address various health issues. The Support Staff of the Year recipient just two short years ago, somebody lifting up the entire district with with her love and positivity is left in a situation where she needs the support of those she has inspired throughout her life. The need is great and situation doesn’t seem fair, but it is the world that we are currently living in. <br /><br />So I am asking you today, to think about Lisha and the kind words she has thrown your way. The sneaky ways that she has lifted you up, has made you smile, has helped you when you had an emergency. She is not asking you to pay her back for that, but I am. Every little bit would help in her journey to health and comfort.
