This story is about our beloved Steven who suddenly passed away on Father’s Day 2015, at the age of 41, of a pulmonary embolism of the lung, leaving his wife and two young children behind.
Our beautiful family and friends have been immensely supportive towards Athena and her children over the past few years and she is forever grateful for their ongoing support. However, in the midst of it all, the experience of emotional and financial hardship has constrained Athena’s way of life. With many ideas discussed, we gave rise to a “gofundme” page that will collectively support them and share their story to the wider community.
Due to the death of Steven, Athena has been confronted with several financial challenges which caused her family to re-locate with her parents for support. This has impacted Athena and her precious children in more ways than one can ever imagine. Athena has had to minimise working hours in adjusting to becoming a single parent. Sadly, an enormous struggle is felt living day by day to provide for her children's mental and physical well-being.
Steven was the life of the party who always cracked a smile and had a great story to tell. People genuinely gravitated towards him and laughter was always around. Steven loved his entire family, and his children were amongst his greatest treasures. Steven and Athena shared something so special that words aren’t justifiable. Steven cherished the time he shared with his family and friends and was always the first one to help out if ever in need. He was a humble, kind and modest man who only seeked the best out of everyone he engaged with. We love him, we miss him and we want to support his little family.
