Recently, I faced one of the toughest moments of my life — losing my dad. In his memory, and to honour everything he did for others, I’ve decided to take on one of the biggest physical challenges of my life.

Over the next 14 weeks, I’ll be running a 14km charity race, my first full marathon, and then an ultramarathon — all to raise funds for the Coronary Care Unit at Wigan & Leigh Infirmary, the team who cared for my dad with such kindness and dedication.

During a time of deep uncertainty, the staff at the CCU provided more than just expert medical care. They gave our family compassion, patience, and a sense of peace when we needed it most. I’ll never forget what they did for us.

This fundraiser is my way of saying thank you — and helping to ensure others can receive that same level of support. Every donation, big or small, will go directly to the CCU to help them continue their vital work.
