My name is Marie and this September, I’m lacing up my running shoes once again to take on the Great North Run — all in support of a cause that’s close to my heart: the Women’s Cancer Detection Society.

This fantastic local charity works tirelessly to fund vital equipment and services that help with the early detection of women’s cancers. Early detection saves lives, and every penny raised goes directly towards making that possible in our community.

This will be my third time fundraising for this amazing organisation, and I’m as determined as ever to do my bit to help them continue their life-changing work.
