We would ride 500 miles to support LGBTQ youth!

Teresa, Kelly, Nick, and Heather are riding 500 miles across Iowa in July as part of RAGBRAI - an annual ride across the state that's been going on for 50 years! We're excited to undertake this adventure and have been training since January!

Unfortunately, many Iowan legislators have been working diligently at the same time to make the state inhospitable to LGBTQ+ youth and families. It's disheartening to think that our exciting summer adventure is taking place in a state that would not welcome many of our loved ones.

So in response, we’d like to dedicate our ride to LGBTQ+ youth in the state of Iowa. We're aiming to raise $500 ($1 for each mile we'll bike) for Iowa Safe Schools. The mission of Iowa Safe Schools is to provide safe, supportive, and nurturing learning environments and communities for LGBTQ and allied youth through education, outreach, advocacy, and direct services.
