Water Filters: A Lifeline for Mayan Kids

Greetings, friends of Cheryl Gallno Calderaro.

This past March, I joined a team of 6 through Water4LifeMinistries to take water filters to some of the neediest families in Guatemala. These are Mayan families who live in rural areas outside of Antigua. Often, they are living in shacks with no running water. They gather water from very polluted water sources. This unclean water leads to many sicknesses and deaths, especially for the babies and young children.

I worked with the children while their mothers learned how to care for these amazing water filter systems that save lives by providing clean water for 5+ years. This fundraiser is to help Water4LifeMinistries purchase 1,000 filters to be distributed in Guatemala in early 2025.
