Left Jab is a queer-friendly, anti-racist, anti-capitalist mixed martial arts (MMA) club. We currently meet twice a week in the Twin Cities for beginner-oriented, instructor-led classes on boxing, kickboxing, and grappling. Left Jab classes are, and will always remain, *free*. We seek to foster a culture of personal and community self-defense on the left and provide an inclusive space for training together, learning foundational skills in hand-to-hand combat, and having fun while doing it.

Left Jab is entirely volunteer-run and relies on donations. The resistance to Operation Metro Surge demonstrated the value of community self-defense, and we have seen our membership double in the wake of the occupation. Earlier this year we added an extra weekly class to help accommodate our growing numbers, and we are looking to further expand. For this reason, we are setting a fundraising goal of 10k, to be allocated toward rent and additional equipment (boxing gloves, focus mitts, wrestling mats, etc.).

Your contribution helps secure a future for free martial arts classes in the Twin Cities and promote a culture of self-defense in a community still suffering from - and resisting - the reverberations of a racist and xenophobic federal occupation. Please consider donating generously and sharing this page widely.
