Appeal for Urgent Humanitarian Assistance for a Family in Gaza
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
My name is Muhammad Ahmed, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of Safa, a wife and mother of two children, living in dire humanitarian conditions in a camp in Deir al-Balah, southern Gaza. I appeal to everyone with a compassionate heart to help save this family from their difficult situation. Safa and her family need $5,000 per person to travel and escape the harsh conditions they are currently facing.
The Story:
Safa's family had a beautiful life before October 7. They lived in a warm home with her husband and children, despite the hardships they faced due to previous wars. Safa has suffered many traumas and inhaled toxic gases, affecting her health, causing multiple miscarriages and delayed pregnancies.
After four years of marriage, she gave birth to her first child, Youssef, after great suffering. Three years later, she had her second child, Muneeb. Safa was under immense pressure during her pregnancies due to wars and fear, and she still suffers from high blood pressure. She has lost many of her relatives and loved ones and is not ready to lose her husband and children, whom she gave birth to after much struggle.
Loss of Home and Livelihood:
This is not the first time Safa has lost her home and security. Before marriage, her family’s house was destroyed four times, and they struggled to rebuild it each time. Even after her marriage, the house that she and her husband built stone by stone and his library business, which he worked hard to establish, were destroyed before their eyes while they were helpless. They lost their beautiful home and their source of livelihood. Now, they have nothing and no place to sleep; they share a tent with fifteen other people.
Current Suffering:
Due to forced displacement to southern Gaza, Safa and her family have been displaced more than seven times. They currently live in a tent under the scorching sun with fifteen others. Safa suffers from a slipped disc in her back and has medical reports proving this. Her husband sustained injuries in his legs during the war. Her young children suffer from malnutrition, water contamination, anemia, and allergies. Her eldest son Youssef suffers from severe fear and constant crying, while young Muneeb needs urgent eye surgery and has speech difficulties and allergies.
Urgent Need:
Safa is in urgent need of treatment for high blood pressure and the slipped disc caused by the war. She needs a healthy environment and a medical bed due to her back pain and some medication. Her son Muneeb urgently needs eye surgery to treat a blocked tear duct. They live in a poor tent and cannot provide healthy food or clean water. Her children suffer from malnutrition and allergies due to living on canned food.
Struggles to Obtain Water, Food, and Daily Needs:
Every day, Safa and her husband walk more than a kilometer to fetch water for their children. She cooks daily over a fire, which led to her son Muneeb burning his hand. Living in a hot tent has exhausted her children, and skin diseases have spread in their fragile bodies. Unfortunately, they cannot afford food due to high prices, causing her children to suffer from many illnesses. Her youngest son needs milk and diapers.
My Appeal:
I, Muhammad Ahmed, am from the United States and am committed to helping Safa and her family in any way possible. I am currently in direct communication with them and have taken it upon myself to do whatever I can to show my support. I assure you that I am not planning on keeping any of these funds; they will, InshAllah, help this family survive and rebuild their lives.
I ask for your help with any amount you can offer to save Safa's life and her family's. They need to secure the $5,000 coordination fee per family member, medical treatment, healthy food, and clean water.
Conclusion:
I hope that you will find mercy and compassion in your hearts to help Safa and her family in these difficult times. Every small donation can make a big difference in their lives and help them survive. May Allah reward you greatly.
Sincerely,
Muhammad Ahmed
