Trans Lives Documented: We F-ing Exist

Who I Am:
My name is Bobby Coyote (@bobbythecoyote) and I’m a multidisciplinary artist, storyteller, and founder of Transmutation, a clothing line dedicated to transformation, contradiction, and survival. I am also a proud trans creator deeply committed to making art that refuses to let us disappear.

The Project:
We F*ing Exist: Transmutation and Permanence is an ongoing multimedia documentation of trans lives — bold, beautiful, raw, and real. Through photography, video, personal storytelling, and collaborative wearable art, I am capturing trans people as they exist today: alive, thriving, fighting, dreaming.

Each participant will be photographed, filmed, interviewed, and invited to co-create a one-of-a-kind clothing piece for Transmutation. These pieces will be auctioned to raise funds for trans-led charities chosen by the collaborators themselves.

Together, we are building a body of work that demands to be seen — a permanent, tangible rebellion against the forces that seek to erase us.

Why This Matters:
Right now, across the country and the world, trans people are being erased — legally, socially, historically. This project is an act of defiance. It says:

We are here. We are immortal. We are creating our own legacy.

This project is for every trans person who’s been told they don’t belong.
It’s for every trans kid who deserves to see themselves reflected back in power and beauty.
It’s for our futures.

Where Your Support Will Go:

• Manufacturing Costs – $1,000:
Production of Transmutation clothing blanks for collaborative customization and promotional sales.

• Photoshoot Travel + Costs – $1,000:
Travel costs, gas, meals, and occasional studio rentals to reach and shoot participants.

• Artist Time + Space – $3,000:
Funding time for me to shoot, edit, design, curate, and bring this project to life without sacrificing survival.

• Publication + Exhibition – $1,000: Publishing a coffee table book featuring portraits, stories, and artwork from the project. Organizing a gallery showcase to bring these stories into public view.

Gifts to Participants:
Each collaborator receives:

• A professional photoshoot

• An edited video

• A free Transmutation item of their choice

• A share in the auction profits (50%, with the option to donate it)

• A free copy of the final book
