Help The Wandering Witch Move Into Our New Community Home

For nearly five years, The Wandering Witch has been a home for magic, healing, belonging, and community care in Poquoson and the surrounding area.

Founded by Skylar in February 2021, The Wandering Witch has grown into a warm, inclusive space for spiritual seekers, curious beginners, witches, children, teens, families, neurodivergent folks, queer folks, disabled people, grieving hearts, and anyone who longs for connection and authenticity.

When I joined the shop two years ago, we wove our work together - teaching, creating, supporting, dreaming - and our community flourished.

Today, The Wandering Witch offers:

✨ Donation-based support circles

✨ Grief support & trauma-informed offerings

The Wandering Witch is built on our shared belief that community care should be accessible, sustainable, and offered with love.

Why We’re Fundraising

After a year of considering options and looking into the best place to call our new home, we’ve found the space that feels right. It’s

• accessible

• better for classes & circles

• better for markets & events

• better for kids and families

• better for community care

This move is intentional, and something we’ve carefully considered - a step forward into our next beautiful chapter of community building.

With growth comes transition costs, including:

✔️ $3,080 lease-release fee

(to leave our current building without paying months of double rent)

✔️ Moving costs

(truck, labor, supplies, deposits)

✔️ Renovations

(including removing walls to make the new space functional & accessible)

✔️ Keeping the current location open through February

(so we can transition smoothly)

✔️ December community events

(we refuse to cancel free and low-cost offerings during the holidays when our community needs them most)

✔️ Winter slowdown

(when small businesses often struggle)

✔️ The creation of our long-dreamed-of Community Aid Fund

(to help community members in need with groceries, sliding-scale spots, emergency support, and accessibility)

We have poured everything into The Wandering Witch - our time, our money, our creativity, our love, our bodies, our magic, and our hearts.
