Hi, my name is Joe

On 6 December, I’ll be taking on 26.2 miles at the first-ever Algarve Marathon in Portugal!!

I’ve never ran a marathon before, so taking on 26.2 miles will be a huge challenge in itself. I know I will be pushing myself both physically and mentally every step of the way.

I’m taking on this challenge to raise money for Sands, a charity that supports families affected by pregnancy and baby loss.

This cause is incredibly close to both mine and my wife, Soph’s hearts. Having experienced miscarriage together, we know just how heartbreaking it can be and how deeply it can affect you, your relationship and those around you. We’ve also seen close friends go through the heartbreak of baby loss, which has made this cause even more personal to us.

Every hill I climb and every mile I run will be for a reason bigger than myself.

If I can hit my target of £1,000 the money will make such a big difference to this cause.

So come on guys, put your hand in your pocket and give me the motivation I will need to push myself to get this shit done! ‍♂️❤️
