Hi everyone, my name is Demi I’m 28 and I will be doing a skydive in May 2026 to raise money for an amazing Charity called SANDS which helped myself & I know many more families with the most outstanding support for bereaved families who have lost a baby like myself. This is massive and really means a lot to me for all of you that know me.

I will be doing this skydive 10,000 feet fall in memory of my beautiful baby girl&the special babies to beautiful for this earth and taken way to soon.

This charity offers support for all types of pregnancys and baby loss, as well as specific support for men!

CORE NUCLEAR SOLUTIONS has the privilege this year to have SANDS as our chosen charity.

Thousands of parents and families are experiencing the heartbreak of pregnancy and baby loss every year, and too often, we don’t understand why and families have no where to turn, SANDS are looking to change that.

This charity was selected, not only due to it being a deserving organisation, but also because tragically SANDS have been there to support members of our staff through some of the worst times of their lives.

"In early 2025 myself and my partner were looking forward to bringing our baby boy Toby into the world, but sadly at 8 months, due to complications, he passed away, Toby was born sleeping on April 2nd 2025, and he was perfect in everyway. What followed for myself and my partner were hardest days of our lives, grief, denial, guilt and trying to come to terms with what happened. SANDS helped us from day one, with assistance from our bereavement/midwife team at West Cumberland Hospital we were given the information and support we needed from SANDS, be it direct or behind the scenes, SANDS was there when we needed support most, so thank you." - Toby's Dad

SANDS is made up of both staff and volunteers working across England, Scotland and Wales with 24hr support available, there from the first few hours to decades after. Sands offer, Support Chats, Free helpline, Sands Memory Boxes, Local support groups, as well as funding life saving research and much more!

In May im going to do a skydive to raise money for SANDS.

The sands charity really gives so much comfort to parents but also to the entire family.

when we lost our baby Alicia at 40 weeks we where given a box containing lots of items from the sands charity by the midwife's, one item was 2 little teddies. When we told our eldest daughter her little sister, who she was so excited to meet, wasn't going to be able to come home, we were able to give her one of the teddies from her sister and her sister has hers in her arms up in heaven, that was priceless and is something she uses regularly when she wants to cuddle or misses her sister.

At such a horrible time you have so much going through your head, we wouldn't have even thought to get all the little keepsakes this box provides, our box had a little box for her hair, ink for doing hand prints and footprints, 2 butterfly charms (one on baby Alicia's chest and one on my nacklace), 2 teddies (one with Alicia and one for us) and so so much more.

Thank you sands for providing the most precious memories for all our family!

*Mam Tor Fundraiser*

Myself (ben) My Eldest Son (Jack) & My fellow teammates from SUFC-SY will be taking on a sponsored walk up Mam Tor on 28th February 2026 to raise funds for two charities that mean a great deal to us — Sands and Sands United South Yorkshire, the team I proudly play for.

This cause is incredibly personal to me. Last year, we lost our beautiful daughter, Elsie. The support and community around Sands and Sands United South Yorkshire have meant so much to us during the most difficult time of our lives.

Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, offering understanding, care and a community when it’s needed most. Sands United South Yorkshire brings men together through football, providing support and solidarity for fathers and families who have experienced baby loss.

Walking Mam Tor together is our way of remembering Elsie, raising awareness, and giving back to a community that continues to support families like ours.

Myself & Emma have decided for our 30th this year (you only turn 30 once right lol…) we’re going to do a sky dive to raise money for a charity very close to our hearts!

We are booked in on Saturday the 8th of November!

On 12th April I will be running my very first marathon — the Boston Marathon — to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, in memory of two very special little ones, Douglas Phillip North and Agatha Erica Brewster

Sands provides vital support to families facing the unimaginable loss of a baby, and works to improve bereavement care and fund research to save babies’ lives. One of the many ways donations help families is through the provision of cold cots.

Cold cots are specially designed cooling systems that allow parents to spend precious extra time with their baby after they have passed away. In moments of overwhelming grief, this time can mean everything — giving families the chance to hold their baby, say goodbye at their own pace, and create memories that they will carry forever.

By running this marathon, I hope to honour Douglas and Agatha, support their families, and help Sands continue providing comfort, care and understanding to others going through similar heartbreak.

On Saturday 20th June, I will be taking on a personal challenge — running the full 46 miles of the Llangollen Canal — to raise money for Sands, the charity that supports anyone affected by pregnancy loss and the death of a baby.

Sands provides vital care, compassion, and practical support to families during some of the most devastating moments imaginable. They also work tirelessly to improve maternity safety and fund research that helps save babies’ lives. Every step I take on this run will be in support of their incredible work.

This will be a tough but meaningful journey, and I would be so grateful for any donation you feel able to give. No amount is too small, and every contribution will help Sands continue supporting families when they need it most.
