Support the McDonald Family After Tragic Loss

A really good friend of mine here in Lexington, MI recently lost his wife unexpectedly. They were unaware of any health issues at all, and our entire community is completely devastated. They have 4 children at home, and life will never be the same. Matt and Trisha McDonald were truly a fantastic couple that friends and family all adored.
Both spent countless hours coaching youth football, basketball, baseball, and softball. So much of the time they spent volunteering didn't even involve their own kids. Basketball was by far their favorite.
Trish absolutely loved animals. She was always bringing home rescue dogs. They've had cats, chickens, and other animals that I don't even know about. Whenever you pulled up to their home in the country, you never knew what you were going to find! Old Matt & Trish McDonald truly did have a farm!
Matt has always been a great friend to me, and I have always been grateful for that. I love the guy like a brother. He's always been there when I needed a friend. There have been times when one of us was having a rough go of it, and we'd text the other and say that we need a buddy. Usually, within an hour, we're sitting at the pub. I joke that we are each other's therapist. Within an hour, we usually feel pretty good about life again.
But Matt has lots of friends and family that realize what a great guy he is. A couple of years ago, on the night before his son's high school graduation party, there was a terrible storm. Their home was already set up for the party, and they even had company in town when the storm took out several big trees in their yard. They lost power and everything. It was a complete disaster. Most people would have been screwed. But when you've been a really good friend to so many people, they rally around you in times like these. As soon as the storm was over, there were friends and family from all over town over there with chainsaws and generators to make sure the party went on. And it did! They still didn't have power, but Trish and the others were cooking powered by generators, and the party was a success.
Please find it in your heart to give to a family that has always given back to their community. I believe if you can help, you should help because one day you may be the one that needs help. Thank you!
