Giving Back to the People Who Make Climbing Mountains Possible
Over the last 20 years I've been incredibly fortunate to spend much of my life in the Himalayas. During that time I've climbed alongside and been supported by some of the strongest, kindest and most selfless people I've ever met.
Every season, Nepali mountain workers risk their lives fixing ropes, carrying equipment and making it possible for climbers like me to achieve our dreams.
Sadly, some never make it home. Unlike many of us, there is very little social support available to their families if the worst happens.
That's why, as I prepare to attempt Mount Everest without supplementary oxygen in 2027, I'm raising funds for The Juniper Fund, a charity that provides financial support to the families of Nepali mountain workers who have been injured or lost their lives in the mountains, helping to cover essentials such as education, healthcare and day-to-day living costs.
My fundraising target is €8,848, one euro for every metre of Everest.
If you've followed my journey over the years and would like to support this incredible cause, I'd be hugely grateful. Even the price of a pint can make a real difference.
Thank you for your support.
