Somos Familia Valle and the Trans Defense Fund are hosting a free self-defense workshop for the TGI community (Transgender, Gender-nonconforming/nonbinary, Intersex) and we need YOUR help!

Somos has an amazing facility that is already a great space for this workshop, but we need equipment! We have plans to make this an ongoing series for the entire LGBTQ community, and investing in a set of gloves, mitts, and pads for Somos will ensure that more TGI Angelenos have the tools to learn to protect themselves.

We have priced out a basic group set of equipment for a really reasonable budget -

10 pairs of gloves, 10 sets of focus mitts, 3 large kick shields at just under $600! We hope to raise enough here to cover the costs and set SOMOS and the Trans Defense Fund up for success - but we need YOU!
