LANGSTON HUGHES ORATORY COMPETITION
Help us invest in the next generation of scholars and storytellers. The Langston Hughes Oratory Competition during Achievement Week provides vital scholarship funds to high school students across Greater Boston, empowering them to find their voice and pursue their academic dreams. Your donation—of any size—directly supports youth excellence and keeps this powerful tradition alive.
Achievement Week is a Nationally Mandated Program of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., originally created by Brother Carter G. Woodson to promote the study of Negro life and history. This proud tradition began even before Negro History Week—now known as Black History Month—and continues to uplift, educate, and inspire communities across the nation.
This year, we are hosting a dynamic week of events that celebrate achievement, brotherhood, and service. Each event is designed to uplift families, empower students, and strengthen our community.
- Join us throughout the week as we:
- Support local families and those in need
- Inspire high school and college students
- Engage in meaningful community service
- Celebrate our shared legacy and impact.
Consider making a contribution today and uplift a student’s future.
