Help Matt Fight Cancer and Support His Family
Our dear friend is facing the fight of his life—and he and his family need our help. Even the smallest donation can make a meaningful difference.
His Story
At just 45 years old, Matt—a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in Iraq—is now battling aggressive stage 4 metastatic cancer. During his service, Matt was exposed daily to burn pits, which are now being recognized as a potential cause of several types of cancer.
Matt is not only a fighter—he’s a devoted husband to and a loving father to four children, including their 8-year-old son, He’s always put his family and country first. Now, he needs us.
After an initial diagnosis of colon cancer, Matt underwent treatment and was thought to be in the clear. He returned to work quickly to support his family. But just months later, the cancer returned—this time spreading to his pelvis, spine, liver, and adrenal glands.
The cancer has since caused multiple spinal cord compressions, requiring several surgeries on his spine. As a result, Matt is now wheelchair-dependent and unable to walk. He is undergoing intensive immunotherapy, radiation, and surgical interventions—fighting with everything he has.
The Financial Reality
Matt has been approved for disability benefits, but they won’t begin until November—and they’ll only cover a fraction of his previous income. Meanwhile, Tia has had to drastically reduce her work hours to care for Matt and manage his medical needs.
Here’s what they’re up against:
- Mounting medical bills and treatment costs
- Loss of income from both Matt and Tia
- Daily living expenses: mortgage, utilities, groceries
- Home modifications, as Matt is now wheelchair-dependent
- The need to maintain stability and care for young Edward
How You Can Help
No family should have to choose between life-saving care and keeping a roof over their heads. Your donation will directly help:
- Cover essential living expenses
- Reduce financial stress so Tia can focus on caregiving
- Ensure Edward’s needs are met during this difficult time
- Allow Matt to focus on healing—not bills
Our Goal
We aim to raise **$20,000** to give this loving family the financial breathing room they desperately need. Matt has always shown up for others—including his country. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
Your generosity will give Matt, Tia, and Edward the gift of time, stability, and hope.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign with others who may want to help.
