Support Lizzie & Her Children After Tragic Loss

On behalf of our dear friend, and neighbor, Lizzie, we are reaching out with heavy hearts to rally support for a family facing the unimaginable. Recently, this strong and loving mother tragically and unexpectedly lost her husband — a partner and a devoted father to their four beautiful young children. (Jack: Pre-K, Nora: K, Marina: 2nd, Eloisa: 5th) This comes as the children round out their school year, and their summer ahead.... now all of it is disrupted with heavy feelings and emotions to navigate.

In the midst of this heartbreak, she is now navigating life as a single parent, doing everything she can to keep her children’s lives stable, safe, and full of love. Many of you know her as a vibrant, generous member of our community. She has volunteered countless hours on the school PTO, has always been ready to help at a moment’s notice, and brought joy and support to others through her time at OHF and her passion for pickleball.

Now, she needs us.

As Bernardo was the bread winner of this family, this fundraiser effort is a way for friends, neighbors, and kind-hearted strangers to come together and provide this family with the support they so desperately need — not only for immediate expenses but for the long road ahead as these children grow and thrive in our community. Your donation will go directly toward helping with basic living needs, child-related costs, and long-term stability during this time of profound transition.
