What is ‘WePay’ and what do I need to confirm?
GoFundMe has partnered with WePay to process donations to your campaign. Confirming your WePay account is required.
Does GoFundMe give me donations?
It’s up to you to invite friends & family to donate to your campaign. Successful campaigns receive more public support.
How do I get on the GoFundMe homepage?
Campaigns appearing on our homepage are displayed and sorted based on the amount of recent donor activity.
When do I provide my bank information?
You’ll be asked to provide your banking information when you request a withdrawal from your GoFundMe account.
Why can’t I use PayPal on GoFundMe?
GoFundMe only accepts donations via PayPal to Certified Charity campaigns created after November 3, 2016.
What happens if I don’t reach my goal?
No problem. With GoFundMe you keep each and every donation that you receive.
How do your fees work?
GoFundMe will deduct a 5% fee from each donation you receive. WePay deducts 2.9% + $0.30 per donation.
Do I have to use a Facebook account?
No. While not required, sharing on Facebook is the absolute best way to attract support to your GoFundMe campaign.
Is my country supported?
Supported countries include the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Canada and select European countries.
What about taxes and stuff?
Since everyone’s situation is very different, we’re unable to provide tax advice.
