Hi! My name is Henry Watson, and I'm a life scout with Troop 494 in Centennial, Colorado. My eagle project is building a series of four floating platforms for the ponds at Morrision Nature Center in Aurora, Colorado.

These platforms will provide a place for turtles in the pond to bask, as there are not enough places. Currently the turtles to use any floating objects they can find, including car tires, but there are not enough spaces for the turtles. These platforms will provide a safer space and allow potentially dangerous debris to be removed from the pond. With basking platforms, the turtles will be happier, healthier, and easier to watch for visitors!

Your donation can help do the following:

$50 buys lunch for the crew (scouts and parents volunteering their time to build)

$200 - One turtle basking platform (we will be building a total of 4 for the site)

$250 - Signage at the site - info for visitors about the turtles and project

Any money raised that is not spent on construction of the platforms will be donated directly to the nature center. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
