Hello everyone, my name is Jessica Singleton, and I’m reaching out for help as I work to hire a lawyer to fight for custody of my niece, Evalynn.

In June, Evalynn and her mother were involved in a domestic violence incident. Child Protective Services became involved, and Evalynn was placed in foster care while my sister was taken to the hospital. Since then, my sister has been navigating the Alabama court system in an effort to bring Evalynn home. She has now been ordered to complete a year-long rehabilitation program so she can rebuild stability in her life.

While my sister completes her treatment, I am seeking temporary custody of Evalynn to ensure she is safe, loved, and surrounded by family. Evalynn is 17 months old, incredibly sweet and so smart. All of her siblings, cousins, aunts, and uncles live here in East Texas, and it would mean the world to bring her home to the family who loves her.
