Emerson Lopez (pictured here with his older brother) was kidnapped from the Glendale Home Depot on June 26, 2025, and has been imprisoned at Adelanto Detention Center since. ICE did not have a warrant for his arrest—they abducted him while he was looking for work. Emerson has legal status and a valid work permit. Nevertheless, he was erroneously denied bond. He is in urgent need of legal counsel.

Emerson came to this country as an unaccompanied minor and has studied and worked hard since his arrival. His story has not made headlines because there are simply too many like him—dozens of hard-working people across Los Angeles are detained without due process every day.
