“A WALK OF HOPE”

Hello, this is Roy & Sasha Quijano. We are the proud parents of our son, Deo, and we are helping him out to raise funds for his school project and his mission to provide as much footwear to the flood and earthquake victims in the Philippines. We both were born and raised in Cebu, Philippines, so this mission hits very close to our hearts. Our brothers are local government officials in Cebu who we are collaborating with on this fundraising to ensure all funds are used properly.

Our 9-year-old son, Deo, is a very passionate young boy who has always loved helping those in need. He is in the gifted program at his school, and he has a project where he needs to match his passion to help the community. When we were on vacation in the Philippines, he noticed a lot of less fortunate kids and adults around the community who need proper footwear. This project made him realize how he can make a difference by raising enough funds to buy shoes or slippers to give to those in need. Thinking about the recent calamities in the Philippines with the multiple earthquakes, typhoons, and flooding where a lot of families lost their homes and all their belongings, this project could also benefit those victims and not just the people in our local community. We hope to raise enough funds to buy as much footwear to distribute to the victims of the calamities and the less fortunate people of our community in the Philippines. This is not just to help Deo complete his project but to also give our fellowmen “A Walk of Hope”.
