Hi everyone, I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Melissa Kirtland , a dedicated and loving mother who is currently going through an incredibly painful and difficult custody battle. She never imagined she would be in this position or that she would have to fight so hard to protect her child, but this situation has become overwhelming both emotionally and financially.

This custody situation has turned extremely nasty, stressful, and complicated, involving court hearings, legal filings, and constant attorney communication. She is doing everything she can to fight for her child’s safety, stability, and emotional well-being, but the costs are more than our family can handle alone.

Unfortunately, the reality is:

990 miles between mother and child

Quality legal representation is expensive

Court fees and required filings keep adding up

Delays and complications increase the cost

A child’s future and stability are at stake

My sister is a hardworking single mother who lives for her only child and has always tried to do everything on her own, but right now she needs help.
