Hi, my name is Irene and I've been best friends with Eileen and her family for 25 years (high school besties). Eileen is not the type to ask for help; she's an "I'll figure it out" type of mom. If you know Eileen like I do, she's always there for everyone else without hesitation, whether it be feeding you, making you laugh, or just being there for you to talk to. She takes care of everyone around her. She's a single mother of 5 and is the sole provider for her little family. Her son Joseph, on his 16th birthday, was rushed to the emergency room and has recently been hospitalized for 1 week now due to his appendix bursting and causing a severe bacterial infection along with a serious infection called peritonitis, which caused puss abscesses in his abdominal cavity.

Eileen has been by his side every moment, missing work to support him through tests, surgery, treatments, and long hospital days. I'm hoping to raise funds to help cover her household bills during this time.
