We Need Your Support to Keep Our Off-Season Programs Running!
SeaSisters needs to raise funds to keep our essential swim, surf and educational programs alive during the off-season and to pay our dedicated local female staff.

What’s the Off-Season?
SeaSisters started as a seasonal program aligned with the surf season from December to May on Sri Lanka’s south coast. Since then, we’ve grown into a year-round organisation, running programs and employing local women throughout the year. To maintain this momentum, we need your support!
What Do We Do During the Off-Season?
Our off-season is already in full swing, running from June to November. Here’s what we’re focusing on during these months:
- Swim & Surf Academy: Weekly swim and surf coaching to help young women develop their skills and become future instructors
- Ocean Hero: Our new program, empowering our SeaSisters Juniors to become ocean protectors through educational field trips and fun ocean protection workshops
- SeaSisters Ocean School: Teaching schoolgirls about the importance of the ocean, and encouraging them to get involved in ocean-related activities and future opportunities
- Community Events: Creating inspiring spaces for women from different coastal villages to connect and support each other
- Team Growth: Paying fair wages to our female team members, and supporting them to become community leaders
Your support will help cover staff salaries, program costs, transportation, equipment, and community events during the off-season - allowing us to keep SeaSisters thriving year-round. We can't do this without you!
