Being given less than a year to relocate is a huge penalty that the Austin's Venue cannot absorb. Please help keep Classic Local Arts and Culture venues alive in the USA.
Right now, Austins is in crisis. Austins is threatened. The lease ends October 31. All donations on this GoFundMe fundraiser go to cover the sudden expensive relocation costs that Austins is currently unable to foot.
The city wants to bulldoze Austin's, Winter Park Florida's Artistic Epicenter, and its 5 associated performance art communities ( Jazz, Poetry, Hiphop, Comedy, and Folk Music) after 24 years of operation. YES, it makes no sense. Their plan is still to make it a drainage ditch! Wha?? We tried to stop it from happening by negotiation but now we have to face the facts and try to relocate down the street.
For 24 years, Austins has provided an open platform for freedom of expression, free speech and community support. The Friends of Austin’s Coffee Organization aims to preserve Austins Coffee from destruction by relocating the venue to someplace nearby and also by guarding this local safe-space / sanctuary by stewarding its existence into the future. We want it to go back to 24 hours/day and to stay the same classic local vibe past 2050. Please help us Save Austins with your donation.
