Dear Friends,

This is a very difficult post to write, and it comes with both happy and hard news.

The happy news is that my husband and I are expecting a surprise baby this June! After losing twins to miscarriage last year, this little life is such an incredible blessing from the Lord, and we are deeply grateful. While this pregnancy comes with many high-risk factors and requires an early C-section, I have an amazing medical team around me and am trusting God with all the details.

As we prepare for this new season, we are facing a pressing financial need. We have come to the very difficult decision to sell the home we built two years ago. My husband was laid off shortly after we closed on the home in 2024, and recovering from that has continued to present many challenges. Once the new baby arrives, I will need to cut back on my freelance income significantly in order to focus on recovering from surgery and caring for a newborn while my husband works to provide.

Right now, our biggest need is a new vehicle. Our family of 5 (soon to be 6) currently shares a single vehicle. The vehicle is 15 years old and is approaching 250K miles. As such, it has become unreliable beyond basic use around town and my husband's work commute.

We have made it work for the past year, but with a newborn arriving soon, we urgently need a second, reliable family vehicle so we can safely care for our growing family.

My husband is a first responder who currently works night shifts so that I can use our only car during the day to transport our children. While we have done our best to manage this arrangement, it is becoming increasingly difficult. Having a second vehicle would allow my husband to move to day shifts, which would put us on the same schedule and allow him to be present and available as we navigate the early months with a newborn and C-section recovery.

This change would not only give us safe and dependable transportation—it would provide the stability and support our family needs during an already demanding and difficult transition as we leave our dream home behind, downsize, and rely on whatever God has in store for us next. With the baby’s arrival quickly approaching, we are asking for help as we try to secure a reliable vehicle for our family.
