<div>This is a very difficult post to write, but after some gentle nudging from friends and family, I feel encouraged to share our story and circumstances, which come with both happy and hard news.

<div>The happy news is that my husband and I are expecting a rainbow baby this June! After losing twins to a prolonged miscarriage in 2025, this little life is such an incredible blessing from the Lord, and we are deeply grateful and trusting Him to provide. While this pregnancy comes with many high-risk factors and requires an early C-section between 32 and 36 weeks, I have an amazing medical team around me and am trusting God with all the details.

<div>As we prepare for this new season, we are facing many pressing financial needs. We have come to the very difficult decision to sell the home we built two years ago. We have not been able to pay our mortgage for over a year, and as such, we are facing possible foreclosure and/or bankruptcy. My husband was laid off shortly after we closed on the home we built in 2024, and recovering from that has continued to present various challenges. He’s had to shift to a different vocation, starting at the bottom and working his way up slowly. If we are able to sell the home, we will be fortunate if we walk away breaking even after accrued interest and closing costs to sell.

<div>Because of the pregnancy and medical risks surrounding it, I am facing early hospitalization and bed rest to prevent complications. Currently, I am dealing with severe neuropathy on my right side and am at risk of rupture after 3 previous C-sections. I almost lost my son due to a uterine window (thinning of the uterus) when he was born in 2018, and that risk remains during this pregnancy as well. Again, this little life is a miracle, and we are trusting God with health, safety, and provision. We don’t know what He will do, but we are continuing to lean on Him through all the hardships.

<div>With the new baby’s arrival quickly approaching and all the risks surrounding this pregnancy, plus facing the home sale and move to an affordable rental, I have needed to cut back on my freelance income significantly. After the C-section and hospitalization, I will be focused on recovering from surgery and caring for a newborn while my husband works to provide. Unfortunately, with the loss of our home and current financial situation, we have found ourselves struggling to pay for basic things like vehicle maintenance, medical bills, and groceries.

<div>Right now, our biggest need is a vehicle. Our family of 5 (soon to be 6) currently shares a single car. It is 15 years old and is approaching 250K miles. Along with the age of the vehicle and regular wear and tear, it has become unreliable and is in constant need of maintenance. My husband is a first responder and works 60+ hours a week in an ambulance just so we can get by, but the company he works for does not provide paid paternity leave. Any extended time he takes off to care for me after hospitalization and during recovery will be unpaid. While the vehicle is our greatest need, we are also praying for provision and stability during whatever time he takes unpaid leave to care for me.

<div>We are incredibly thankful for the love and support that so many of you have shown our family over the years. Your kindness means more than we can say, and any help you are able to give would make a real and lasting difference as we prepare to welcome this precious baby and adjust to living on a single income.
