Rock N’ Run for Suicide Prevention – In Memory of Christain
Tax deductible
I’m running 13.1 miles this week in memory of my cousin Christian.
Christian died by suicide in 2012. He had a heart bigger than most, a spirit that made people feel seen, and a deep, soulful love for music.
One of his favorite sayings was:
“Music is to me what air is to you.”
That’s why I chose the Nashville Rock N’ Run—a race filled with rhythm and energy—to honor him. It just feels right.
I’m dedicating this half marathon to Christian and raising money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) through their Out of the Darkness campaign.
Every dollar donated goes toward suicide prevention research, education, and crisis support—so that more people get the help they need, and fewer families have to experience this kind of loss.
This one goes out to Christian.
To the people we’ve lost.
To those still fighting.
And to everyone carrying memories and meaning with them, mile after mile.
If this resonates with you, please donate, share, or just keep Christian in your thoughts this weekend.
Let’s bring hope out of the darkness.
