My name is Ricardo Virgo, and I’m from Lethe, Hanover, Jamaica. A few days ago, Hurricane Melissa tore through our community and changed our lives forever. What used to be a peaceful neighborhood is now filled with broken homes, fallen trees, and families who have lost everything.

I’m heartbroken. The hurricane left me without a job, and my neighbor’s house was completely destroyed. Every day, I wake up thankful to be alive — but also overwhelmed, wondering how we will ever start over. Many of us are still trying to find clean water, food, and a safe place to sleep.

I’ve created this GoFundMe because I don’t know where else to turn. I’m asking for your help to rebuild — not just for me, but for my community. Your donations will go toward repairing homes, replacing essential items, and helping families who have lost everything get back on their feet.
