<div>My name is Ricardo Virgo, and I’m from Lethe, Hanover, Jamaica. A few days ago, Hurricane Melissa tore through our community and changed our lives forever. What used to be a peaceful neighborhood is now filled with broken homes, fallen trees, and families who have lost everything.

<div>I’m heartbroken. The hurricane left me without a job, and my neighbor’s house was completely destroyed. Every day, I wake up thankful to be alive — but also overwhelmed, wondering how we will ever start over. Many of us are still trying to find clean water, food, and a safe place to sleep.
