Can you help us raise $25,000 to provide a safe and welcoming home to an Afghan refugee family? You can make a difference with any monetary donation. A group of people from Reading, MA and surrounding towns has come together to help settle an Afghan family in the coming weeks. The same group of people successfully brought a family from Kakuma refugee camp in Ethiopia 3 years ago. The family shown in the photo is one of many who risked their lives to get to peaceful soil. This family will only have the clothes on their backs and will need any and all help from us. Our group will help find affordable housing, work on English skills, as well as job retraining, schooling and social integration. We believe we are a welcoming community and have the love and generosity to get this family settled.
