We’re raising money to help with Danny’s bills and family commitments during this unprecedented time.

On Sunday 6th July, Danny complained of severe pain. He was rushed to hospital and underwent emergency kidney surgery. During recovery, Danny’s body went into septic shock and multiple organ failure followed. He then went into cardiac arrest for 20 minutes, saved only by the incredible team at Ysbyty Glangwilli in Carmarthen.

The weeks since this ordeal have been nothing short of a nightmare, with each day presenting new uncertainties never before experienced by Danny and his family.

From one hour to the next, Danny has faced a new challenge; round the clock ventilation to daily dialysis.

But the worst part of all is the uncertainty that lies ahead for all involved.

Danny is a much-admired self employed barber/hairdresser, a father to 3 year old Otis and a husband to Annie-Starr. This illness has put absolutely everything in his life on hold: except for his financial commitments.

The future is uncertain and at this point unknown, nothing is more uncertain than Danny’s ability to earn. With the family now relying on a single income for the foreseeable, anyone can appreciate the difficulties that lay ahead in this situation.

Thankfully, Danny appears to be recovering and things are moving in the right direction. It’s going to be a very long road to recovery, whatever that eventually looks like, but we’re so grateful that he’s on the right track to even begin with. He’s far from out of the woods just yet, but with the help of everyone around him, we know he can get there.
