Food pantries across the nation have seen an unprecedented rise in customers over the past few weeks. In Chicago, Lakeview Pantry reported over a 50% increase in new clients, as unemployment claims continue to soar with the COVID-19 outbreak and many individuals are experiencing food insecurity for the first time in their lives.
