Dear Friends and Colleagues,

My name is Annette Campbell; I am from Dutch Hill in Trelawny. I currently live and work in Florida, and I am no stranger to the impact of hurricanes and the effect they have on our lives. My sister Amelia, who is a teacher also in Florida, and I are championing this cause to help our community where we spent most of our lives. To say that the community is destroyed is an understatement. Therefore, we seek your help in getting the community back to some semblance of normalcy.

We are reaching out with an urgent and heartfelt appeal for support on behalf of our families and communities in Trelawny, Jamaica, who have been severely impacted by the recent Category 5 hurricane that devastated large parts of our beautiful island.

The destruction has been overwhelming. Many families have lost their homes and personal belongings; roofs have been blown away, roads blocked, and essential services such as water, electricity, and communication remain disrupted.

Hurricane Melissa has left behind extensive and unimaginable destruction across the country.

As we speak, our people are in desperate need of food, clean water, clothing and toiletries, building materials, medical supplies, or any form of relief support. Every donation, no matter how small, will go toward this worthy cause to help us rebuild our homes, restore hope, and strengthen our community.
