My name is Sam I am 13 from Central Academy in Carlisle.

I am fundraising to raise money to travel with Camps International to Kenya for 4 weeks of personal development and charitable project work.

I gave up all chocolate, sweets, biscuits and crisps for lent, which was a challenge for me as I love chocolate!!!!

I have also made and sold cakes at various places, done a guess the teddies name and I am also going to, with my family walk the full length of Hadrian's wall in the summer holidays, I have planned it out with my dad and hope to complete it over 5 days camping along the wall each night.

The money raised will go towards helping me travel to Kenya and assist in a variety of project work. This includes community development work, wildlife conservation, environmental conservation, and a personal challenge of scuba diving.

The core objectives of this expedition are to undertake projects in order to:

- Raise the educational standards of developing communities within a rural district of Kenya.

- Raise the living standards of developing communities, within a rural district of Kenya.

- Assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programs to preserve biodiversity and protect vulnerable habitats

I am really excited about the events planned and all the money I’m going to raise for my expedition to Kenya. Please also watch this space for more upcoming events to kelp me raise the funds.

Thank you for supporting me

Sam
