As-salāmu ‘alaykum everyone,
As some of you know, last year I raised money for those in need in Morocco. Alhamdulillah, with your support, we were able to help a local school that cares for needy, disabled, and orphaned children. Allāhumma bārik, these children were incredibly sweet, well-mannered, and their recitation of the Qur’an was truly beautiful.
This Ramadan, in shā’ Allāh, I am hoping to do the same again.
The money raised will go towards:
• Eid gifts and basic clothing for the children at the school, which I will personally hand-deliver
• Essential food supplies for ifṭār for a very poor community living in the mountains — this will be delivered before Ramadan, in shā’ Allāh, so they have food to break their fast with
• Contributing towards a few months’ rent for a school for disabled children — when I visited, the brother running it explained how difficult it is to meet the rent each month. Helping with this would relieve a huge burden from them.
Please donate whatever you can, and kindly share this with family and friends. Even a small amount can make a big difference.
Abu Hurayra (ra) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“The person who strives on behalf of the widows and the poor is like the one who strives in the way of Allah, and like the one who fasts during the day and stands in prayer at night.”
May Allah reward you all for your generosity and intentions.
JazakumAllahu khayran. Umm Zaide
