Este GO FUND me es en nombre de un grupo de miembros de la comunidad muy trabajadores que necesitan fondos para el Immigrant Memorial en Quintana Rd. Cuando los residentes de San Antonio se enteraron de los 53 migrantes que murieron atrapados en un camión de 18 ruedas por el calor de Texas, todos nos sentimos unidos. Sin embargo, un pequeño grupo de residentes del lado sur de San Antonio se movilizó para darles a estas personas una despedida adecuada. Su sudor, sus lágrimas y sus oraciones se mezclan con los cientos de personas que visitan este sitio. Estamos pidiendo donaciones para continuar manteniendo este sitio agradable. This GO FUND me is on behalf of a group of very hardworking community members who need funds for the Immigrant Memorial on Quintana Rd. When San Antonio residents heard about the 53 migrants who died in the Texas heat locked in an 18-wheeler, we all hurt in unity. However, a small group of residents from the Southside of San Antonio mobilized to give these people a proper send-off. Their sweat, their tears, and their prayers are mixed in with the hundreds of people who visit this site. We are asking for donations to continue to keep this site nice. The community members led by Angela Olvera have replaced flags when they were faded and torn, it is very expensive. Most Sundays, Ms. Angie brings water/ice to the visitors using her retirement income. We would like to be able to have a fund so the volunteers can buy the water, and replace flags, and flowers as needed. The account this fund will go into is being monitored by three of these members for transparency and open reports of transactions are being shared with the others.
