<div><strong>In Doral, children are coming home from school to find a parent gone.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Immigration enforcement has swept through Doral, Florida, home to the largest Venezuelan community in the country. Fathers have been taken while pumping gas on the way to work. In a matter of minutes, families have lost the person who paid the rent, bought the groceries and picked up the kids.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The legal fight will take months. <strong>The rent is due in two weeks.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The Doral Family Emergency Fund gets money directly to families who have lost a parent or wage earner to immigration enforcement, for groceries, rent and utilities, child care, and essentials like diapers, medication and school supplies. Every application is reviewed, and aid is paid out on an emergency basis. Families can apply, and donors can learn more, at [link].
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>You cannot stop a deportation with a donation.</strong> But you can make sure a child in Doral eats dinner tonight and has a mother who can go to work tomorrow.

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

<div>This GO FUND me is on behalf of a group of very hardworking community members who need funds for the Immigrant Memorial on Quintana Rd. When San Antonio residents heard about the 53 migrants who died in the Texas heat locked in an 18-wheeler, we all hurt in unity. However, a small group of residents from the Southside of San Antonio mobilized to give these people a proper send-off. Their sweat, their tears, and their prayers are mixed in with the hundreds of people who visit this site. We are asking for donations to continue to keep this site nice. The community members led by Angela Olvera have replaced flags when they were faded and torn, it is very expensive. Most Sundays, Ms. Angie brings water/ice to the visitors using her retirement income. We would like to be able to have a fund so the volunteers can buy the water, and replace flags, and flowers as needed. <em>The account this fund will go into is being monitored by three of these members for transparency and open reports of transactions are being shared with the others. </em>May the families know their loved ones were not forgotten. Thank you for helping with our goal! Please share and send prayers if you can't donate. <strong>Anyone willing to adopt a cross to keep nice, please call Angie at [phone redacted]. </strong>This would be so nice. The Guatemalan Maya Center, Inc.

<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
 <br>
</div>
<div>

Help Bring Our Dad Home After ICE Detention

<div><strong>On the morning of July 7, 2026, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was taken from the people who loved him most. </strong>He was 52 years old. He was a husband, a father of three sons, a small business owner, and the heart of his family. This fund exists to carry his family through the impossible days ahead, and to let them grieve without the added weight of how they will get by.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Lorenzo built his life the honest way: with early mornings, long hours, and his own two hands. He ran his own construction business, building, with real work and real skill, the kind of life he wanted for his family. He was known for his work ethic, his fairness, and his willingness to help anyone who needed it. When people describe him, the first words are always the same, hardworking, dependable, kind. He was the kind of man who showed up: for his family, for his friends, for his neighbors, and on every job he ever took.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>At the center of his world was his wife. Lorenzo and wife met when they were just teenagers and had been together ever since, building a life, a home, and a family side by side over 35 years in the United States together. Theirs was the kind of partnership people hope for their whole lives. Now his wife faces a future she never imagined, without the person she has loved since she was young.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Above everything, Lorenzo was a devoted father to his three sons. He worked as hard as he did so that his boys could have more than he had, so that their futures could be brighter than his own beginnings. Everything he built, he built for them. Now three young men must go forward without their father, and their mother must find a way to hold their family together.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>The funds raised here will go directly to his wife and their three sons to help with funeral and burial costs, legal expenses, everyday living costs, and the wife’s needs, who has lost her lifelong companion and sole provider. No amount is too small, and every share helps this reach more people who can stand with them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can give, please give. If you cannot, please share this page and keep Lorenzo’s family in your thoughts and prayers. In a moment of unbearable loss, your kindness tells this family they are not alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please, say his name. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. And help us hold his wife and his three sons up when they cannot stand on their own.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With gratitude,
</div>
<div><br />

Emergency Relief for Venezuela Earthquake Victims

<div>My name is Constantino Garcia, and I’m raising funds for my mom, Arabelia Martinez — a beautiful, hardworking street vendor in Downtown Los Angeles who was tragically assaulted earlier this week. My mom has dedicated herself to her work every single day, rain or shine, to provide for our family. She is one of the most resilient and loving people I know, and no one deserves what happened to her. The assault not only left her physically and emotionally shaken, but also resulted in damage to the items she works so hard to maintain. Since sharing what happened, so many kind and generous people around the world have already reached out wanting to help — and it has truly meant the world to our family. All funds raised will go directly toward therapy and professional support so she can begin to heal emotionally and mentally, rest and recovery — giving her the time off she needs without the financial stress of missing work, and replacing the damaged items she relies on to earn a living. My mom has spent her life showing up for others. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. Any contribution — no matter how small — makes a difference, and sharing this post helps more than you know. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

<div>To Whom It May Concern,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I hope this message finds you well. I am excited to share that <strong>I have been selected as one of 32 students from across the United States to attend the Hispanic National Bar Foundation’s 2026 Future Latino Leaders Summer Law Camp in Washington, D.C.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This highly competitive program offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the legal field while learning directly from accomplished attorneys, judges, and legal professionals. During the program, I will visit the Supreme Court and the United States Capitol, participate in educational panels, and take part in a mock trial in a courtroom while developing my skills in public speaking.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Attending this program is a meaningful step in my journey toward pursuing a career in law. It will allow me to further explore my passion for the legal field, build valuable connections, and gain experiences that will have a lasting impact on my future. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>I am kindly seeking support to help cover the cost of my airfare to Washington, D.C., as well as additional expenses during the program, as travel cost is significant.</strong> Any contribution, no matter the amount, would be greatly appreciated and would directly support my ability to take part in this life-changing experience. If you are unable to donate, I would truly appreciate it if you could share this with others and help me reach my goal.

<div>Thank you very much for your time, consideration, and support.

<div>UPDATE!!!

</div>

<div>Annie has been released from detention! We are so happy she is back home but they still have a long road ahead of them until she gains her citizenship! She is currently being forced to wear an ankle monitor and is unable to leave the state of Louisiana. Matthew and Annie still have a long legal battle ahead of them. We thank you all for your continued support!

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div>My sister-in-law has been a part of her community for nearly her entire life, having come to the United States as a baby. She is a student at ASU and has strong ties to the United States. She is married to my brother, Matthew, who is an active duty staff sergeant in the United Staes Army. Recently, our family was shaken when she was detained by ICE, despite her deep roots and connections here.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> This situation has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on all of us, especially as my brother faces the challenges of serving our country while worrying about his wife’s future. We are doing everything we can to support her, but the legal process is complex and costly. The funds raised will go directly toward legal fees to support her citizenship process and to help the family cover any unexpected expenses during this difficult time.

</div>

<div><br />

</div>

<div> Please support our family as we navigate this legal situation. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. We are deeply grateful for your kindness, generosity, and willingness to stand with us during this difficult chapter. The money will be going to Matthew’s mother Jennifer Rickling so she can pay the lawyer fees and disburse the money to cover the unforeseen expenses.

<div>From Ecuador to Harvard: Help Me Pursue My Dream of Expanding Educational Opportunity
</div>
<div>Today, with deep humility and gratitude, I share something that once felt impossible. I have been accepted into Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education to pursue a master’s degree in Education Policy and Analysis. For many, this may sound like an academic achievement. For me, it represents years of resilience, sacrifice, and faith.
</div>
<div>I immigrated to the United States from Ecuador when I was nineteen. I arrived with hope, but also with the uncertainty that many immigrants face when starting over in a new country, language, and educational system. What made my journey even more challenging was my status. This meant that I did not qualify for federal financial aid, most scholarships, internships, or many opportunities that other students could access. Every semester, I had to find ways to pay tuition out of pocket while working and studying at the same time.
</div>
<div>Despite these obstacles, I remained determined to continue my education. I became involved in mentorship programs, supported fellow students, and participated in the United Nations Semester Program in New York City, where I conducted research on migration and global policy. Through these experiences, I realized that my life’s purpose is to work toward educational policies that expand opportunities for immigrant and marginalized students.
</div>
<div>Today, being admitted to Harvard Graduate School of Education is not only a personal milestone. It represents the possibility for immigrant students to reach spaces that once seemed unattainable.
</div>
<div>However, pursuing this dream comes with a significant challenge.
</div>
<div>Graduate school tuition and living expenses at Harvard can exceed $80,000 per year. While I am actively seeking scholarships and financial support, the cost remains far beyond what my family and I can afford.
</div>
<div>This is why I am humbly asking for support.
</div>
<div>Your contribution, no matter the amount, will help me cover tuition, housing, books, and basic living expenses during my time at Harvard. More importantly, your support will help me continue a mission that goes far beyond my personal success.
</div>
<div>My goal is to use this education to advocate for immigrant communities, expand access to higher education, and work toward policies that create more equitable opportunities for students like me.
</div>
<div>As the daughter of Ecuador and the first in my family to pursue graduate education at this level, I carry this opportunity not only for myself, but also for many others who share similar dreams. This journey is bigger than me. It represents the resilience of immigrant communities and the belief that education can open doors that once seemed impossible. If you are able to support or share this campaign, it would mean more than words can express.
</div>

<div>This is for my coworker and friend officer Botello of the the South Houston Police Department. On March 27, 2026 he was shot in the line of duty in the head on a high risk traffic stop after the driver fled a traffic stop. While he is expected to survive this grave injury, he is need of community support to get himself and his family through this difficult time and long road to recovery. As president of the South Houston Police Officer Association president and with the blessing of Officer Botello, I was given permission to set this GoFundMe up so those who have been asking how to donate directly to him and his family, now can. Please keep him in your heart and prayers going forward and we will keep you posted on his progress. Any support is greatly appreciated and we pray he makes a full recovery and returns to duty.

Help Officer Botello and His Family Heal After Shooting

<div>Hi, my name is Helen Martinez! I am currently a junior, entering my senior year, at The University of Texas at Dallas working towards my Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. I am very proud to say that I am a first generation student.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It has been a challenge for me learning about all the resources that can be provided to students. However, I was able to apply for some financial aid and scholarships and received additional aid from family members to cover tuition costs during the fall semester.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>However, during this past spring semester I was not able to pay my tuition bill even after my two scholarships and financial aid was disbursed. I come from a low income family and have three younger siblings. So as much as my parents try to help I know that is difficult for them. For this reason I tried applying for loans and lots of scholarships through different websites.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I reached out to different departments at UTD, however the response was always the same; apply for a private loan. However, my credit score is not enough for any loans to be approved. They said there was no additional aid they could provide me with and as long as I don’t pay the bill I cannot register for classes in the fall.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will not give up on my education, especially after getting this far. Please help me raise money to pay for my past tuition bill so that I may register for classes in the fall and continue my educational studies. Thank you so much!

<div>Meet Royder Lopez Alvarado, a joyful and cheerful child who loves to play with his brothers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On April 14, while walking home with his mom after visiting the playground. Two cars engaged in a pursuit drove past, one vehicle started shooting at the other. Everyone in the vicinity duck for cover, soon after Royder felt something in his lower back which he initially thought to be a rock, it turned out to be a bullet that had bounced on the concrete and subsequently hit him. He quickly fell down and asked his mom to help him walk. His mother understood something was wrong, she turned him over to check for any wound and she found the bullet had priced his lower back. She started screaming for help, when a tall bystander called 911. Emergency first responders arrived at the scene within minuted and quickly rushed him into the Hospital.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Once at the hospital the medical team of doctors were immediately appraise of the situation and performed life saving surgery. Pediatric Orthopedic doctors were called in to survey any damaged to his spine. Luckily the damaged had been to contained to the large intestine which had suffer two piercing. Once the surgery had taken place and Ryder remained in stable condition, it was explained to the mother Royder had an ostomy placed on this body since his movement is very limited. Doctors explained the road to recovery could be several weeks long and the pain will remain throughout the process, only aided by medicine.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Police Investigators had reassured the family that all leads will be followed and no stone unturned in their search for the suspects of this atrocity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As for Royder, all he wants is to recover, walk and run normally as he used to. He looks forward to the day he can play football with all his brothers like before.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider donating to help aid in Royder’s medical expenses. He and his mother, now full time care giver, both have a long road ahead of them, any help will relive the emotional and financial burden the family now stresses over.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I will give an update with more information regarding the recovery in the coming weeks. Prayers for the Lopez Alvarado Family.

</p>
<p>Today, I saw a large part of my husband's life crumble completely. It weighs very heavy, because right before the storm hit, he expressed to me that he was going to stay put and be ready to respond to any help that was needed in the community.
</p>
<p>It wasn't until today that Cesar, Aura, and Abraham Espinosa went to FIEL headquarters to make sure everything was in order, that they came across caved in roof, flooded floors, and damaged equipment.
</p><br />
<p>The look on everyone's face was devastating, all their hardwork had been taken in a blink of an eye.
</p><br />
<p>It is our turn to return the favor and help them bring all hands on deck to rebuild FIEL.

<div>Update: On May 8, 2024 my father, Jorge Chunga, passed at the age of 55. We will send more updates on this page, but we are turning it into a memorial page for funeral expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you all for all of your donations, and kind words about my father.

<div>Family, friends, and community,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On March 9, 2024, our lives took an unexpected turn. My dad was hospitalized with a severe lung bacterial infection that quickly led to sepsis, compounded by the flu and pneumonia. He's been fighting bravely ever since. My father was placed on a ventilator and underwent a challenging journey. After four long weeks, he had to undergo a tracheostomy. Just a few days ago, on April 18, there was a glimmer of hope as he was able to breathe on his own and was taken off the ventilator, but still needs a tube to breathe. However, he remains in critical care, facing a slow and challenging road to recovery. I'm contacting you all on behalf of my father. He's not just my dad; he's a beloved member of the Bryan/College Station and Texas A&amp;M community, a passionate chef and owner of Fusion Peru, an immigrant from Peru who has worked tirelessly to provide for his family, a loving husband, an essential worker, and an incredible person who's always smiling and laughing.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As you can imagine, the medical expenses have been staggering. Despite our best efforts, the bills continue to mount, and we need help to keep up. We're turning to you, our friends, family, and community, for support. No matter how small, every donation will make a difference in my dads journey toward recovery. Your kindness and generosity will help alleviate the financial burden and provide much-needed encouragement during this difficult time.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please consider donating and sharing this page with your networks. Together, we can help my father get back on his feet and back to doing what he loves – creating delicious meals, taking his dog Chester out on walks, and bringing joy to those around him.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your support and for being part of Jorge's healing journey.

<div>Familia, amigos y comunidad,
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>

Jorge Chunga Memorial Page

<div>In late November of 2023, my partner Jordan Sauceda, who is only 22 years old, was diagnosed with B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, a blood cancer. Never in a million years would we have thought that this would happen to us. Nothing in life prepares you to hear that your loved one has cancer. Jordan has been an amazing young father to our four-year-old daughter Ava since day one. He is such a selfless, hardworking, humble, supportive and loving individual, who’ve I had the honor to be with since we were 16 and 17. It’s still a struggle for me accepting that this is happening to him, the love of my life. We trust God, however. We firmly believe this will be apart of Jordan’s testimony, that he will get through this and that we will grow old together!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We have spent many weeks getting treatment away from home and our daughter Ava since his diagnosis. I’ve been with him every single day and night at the hospital for chemotherapy treatment, to remind him that he’s not alone. His fight is our fight. I’ve had to learn how to be a nurse when we are allowed to be home. We acknowledge we have a journey ahead of us. The goal for Jordan is to get a bone marrow transplant in the future. On top of our monthly expenses, medical bills and travel costs are mounting. We humbly ask for your help with these costs, but more than a donation, we ask for everyone’s prayers.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>When we started treatment in late November, right off the bat, the doctor told us that Jordan could be infertile after all of this was over. I was distraught. I cried countless of times. We had always said that we would give Ava at least one other sibling when the time was right, in a few years. It felt like another big hit to our family to hear these words come out of the doctor’s mouth. Little did we know that a week into Jordan’s treatment we would find out that we were already expecting baby #2 all along and most recently we found out that it’s a boy! This news has brought us, his family, and my family something to look forward to, it’s given us strength. It’s a blessing for sure and a reminder that if you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
