Mission Work in Bethlehem

Greetings! My name is Elizabeth and I am a 26yr old Catholic who works as a Critical Care nurse. God gifted me with the ability to be His healing and loving hands through the COVID pandemic. This summer, while on pilgrimage in the Holy Lands I heard God’s invitation to forsake the life I knew and stay and serve. I surrendered and asked him to show me how. He introduced me to Hogar Niño Dios which is a home for children with psycho-physical disabilities in Bethlehem. The Sisters of Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara, a Religious Family of the Incarnate Word offer education and rehabilitation services to these children with the help of volunteers from around the world.

I will be there volunteering my time from the beginning of December to March or longer if God willing. In the home, I will help with the daily care activities of the children, including feeding, bathing, and helping with therapies. I will also help around the home by cooking, cleaning and whatever is asked of me. God has blessed me immensely in my life, and to much is given, much is expected. I cannot do this alone so I am asking for donations to make this mission possible.

Below is an estimate of the cost of this mission.

$1500- travel expenses (now fully funded by Select International Tours!)

$3000- living expenses (for 3 months)

All other donations will go directly to the daily operation of the home. This will help feed, clothe, house, rehabilitate and educate the children.
