Barely Athletic have two 5 a side teams based in Bristol. We are a very social orientated group of lads and love having a beer after our games each week.

We have a fines system in place for a normal week at football. Silly things like being late, getting nutmegged (stay clever, keep them together), kicking the ball out of the court, heading the ball when you’re not allowed to. We also do a theme each week, which is picked by the man of the match from the week before. Any duplicate items between players, any non participating all result in a fine.

Our usual fine pot was getting put towards our team going away to Newcastle in December. But due to a lot of us being affected by male friends and family suffering with mental health issues, cancer related illnesses or other health problems, we decided to donate all fines raised throughout the month of November to Movember.

We have set out the rules to all the lads involved and we’re all hoping to raise a great amount of money for a great cause.
