At A Moment of Magic at the University of Iowa, we believe in the power of connection, imagination, and joy.
As a student-led chapter of a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we bring uplifting experiences to children in hospitals, foster care, and underserved communities across Iowa. Dressed as beloved characters—or as ourselves—our volunteers lead activities, share stories, and offer moments of joy and companionship during what may be a challenging time.
Our characters bring magic to life through costume and play.
Our “magic makers” help make every visit safe, smooth, and meaningful.
Together, we remind kids of what it means to be Brave, Strong, and Fearless.
Your donation helps us:
- Fund training, costumes, and supplies for volunteers
- Travel to and from pediatric hospitals, care centers, and more
- Pay chapter dues that keep our work running behind the scenes
