A Moment of Magic - Virginia Commonwealth University has had the honor of working with the Children's Hospital that is on the MCV campus often. We've managed a few visits in the two years that we have been formed. With your support we can grow our reach and deepen our impact in the years to follow.

At the University of Portland, we are constantly working to bring moments of magic to vulnerable children across the Portland Metro Area. Our aim is to allow these children to take a step back and just be kids, amidst whatever treatment or experience they may be going through. When we step into the hospital rooms of these children, we are not just volunteers but superheroes and princesses, fighting right beside them. But this isn't possible without proper training and materials for our volunteers. With your support, we will be able to bring this magic and joy to kids for another year!

We are proud to partner with organizations like Randall's Children's Hospital, St. Judes, Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Make-A-Wish Oregon, and Ronald McDonald House Charities.

At A Moment of Magic at the University of Iowa, we believe in the power of connection, imagination, and joy.

As a student-led chapter of a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we bring uplifting experiences to children in hospitals, foster care, and underserved communities across Iowa. Dressed as beloved characters—or as ourselves—our volunteers lead activities, share stories, and offer moments of joy and companionship during what may be a challenging time.

Marquette University's chapter of A Moment of Magic was founded in March 2021, starting off with only a few members and one visit a semester. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of its members, the chapter now has about 30 members and has gone on over 40 visits during the 2024- 2025 academic school year (and we still have more to come!). With your support, the Marquette chapter can grow even further, allowing us to bring even more joy to children in the Milwaukee area who need it most. By donating to help us raise our annual dues cost, you will be assisting us connect with more children's hospitals in the Milwaukee area, provide specialized programming to individual families facing hardships, and bring light to the underserved community Marquette University is surrounded by.

Though we are a small chapter, the Baylor University Chapter have had so many opportunities to volunteer within the Waco community and all across Texas. We have partnered with local families, Mission Waco, Fabled bookshop, Foster Village, Cooks Children's Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, Dallas Children's Hospital and so many more! As we are only one of two chapters in Texas, help us reach our goal to raise $1600 dollars, so we can continue spreading magic and fulfilling our mission! Every dollar counts!

AMoM allows college-age students to improve the quality of life through creative programming that promotes social-emotional wellness and coping with daily life stressors exacerbated by a child and family’s circumstances. Our most popular services include tailored bedside visits, character visits, mental health workshops, and direct family support.

Misericordia's A Moment of Magic has been working this semster on connecting with the Dallas and surrounding area's of Pennsylvania. We are currently a Magic Maker chapter with hopes of becoming a Character Chapter by Fall 2025. With your help and donations we are able to achieve our goal and connect with more children in the area!

In January, we were fortunate enough to go on a 25-Days-of-Magic visit, where we connected with an incredible family. We would love to do more magical visits and events but we need your help to make it happen.

Ten years ago, A Moment of Magic began in a dorm room with a dress, a dream, and a GoFundMe. Our vision was simple: to empower college students to make hospitals a little less scary and a lot more magical for children facing serious illnesses.

Through arts, play, and the magic of beloved characters, we’ve created moments of joy, laughter, and imagination that transform hospital stays into unforgettable experiences. These moments have a profound impact on the mental health and quality of life of the children we serve. At the same time, we’re building tomorrow’s leaders by offering college students meaningful leadership opportunities—proving that everyone has the power to make a difference.

Today, as we celebrate a decade of magic, we’re returning to our roots by crowdfunding once again to fuel our mission. Our 10th-anniversary GoFundMe campaign aims to raise $10,000 to reach 100 hospitalized children across the country.
