I believe that our community needs to become responsive to the needs of our citizens, including our children. Peacemaker Resources in Bemidji, Minnesota, is a non-profit that teaches communication skills that can be used to deescalate conflict and empower all voices to be heard.

They offer youth and adults classes and workshops that teach:

Social and Emotional Learning

Mindfulness

Cultural Responsiveness

Trauma-Sensitive Practices
